Transparent GIF's
Transparent GIF's are useful when you have colorful backgrounds on your page or if you change your background frequently. A transparent GIF is a GIF with one color that is transparent, meaning any colors or pictures behind that color will show through. The following steps will instruct you on how to make a transparent GIF.
Adobe Photoshop:
Open your image
File / Export / GIF89a Export
Select the color(s) you wish to make transparent.
OK
Input the file name
SAVE
Paint Shop Pro:
Open your image
RIGHT click on the color you want to be transparent
FILE / SAVE AS - OR F12
OPTIONS
GIF
Select: 'Set the transparency value to the background color'
OK
Select: Save As Type: 'GIF'
SAVE
It will ask you: 'Replace Existing File?'
YES
